Rajiv K. Jain, MD

  • Specialty: Primary Care Sports Medicine, UB Concussion Management Clinic
  • Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopaedics, University at Buffalo

As a primary care sports medicine physician, my background allows me to be able to see people for any non-surgical joint pain or injuries and also, medical issues in athletes. It is gratifying for me to be able to help people by giving non operative options to help get them better.  Working collaboratively with my surgical orthopaedic colleagues also allows me to give the best care to our patients who end up needing surgery.

Currently I am the only physician in Western New York triple boarded in Internal Medicine, Pediatric and Primary Care Sports Medicine.   I enjoy the variety of problems that I deal with in these three fields of medicine and this allows me to see patients of all ages. In addition, this allows to me to pursue my passion in sports as I am the medical team physician for the Canisius College athletic department and assistant team physician for the University at Buffalo athletic department.

I joined UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in 2004, and I am passionate about providing excellent comprehensive care, and improving the health of my patient while trying to reduce healthcare cost. Building a good relationship with my patients is and always will be extremely important to me.
